I really enjoy listening to my customers concerns and finding the best solution for their eyes; whether it be helping with their vision problems, a specific design for a lens, spectacles or contact lenses, as well as referrals to an Eye Specialist when needed. I'm dedicated to healthy eyes, committed to looking after our most important sense and encourage early detection for vision problems at an early age, epecially testing for babies and toddlers which can often have life-changing results. Growing up on a farm near Gympie, I feel most comfortable in smaller community and since graduating from QUT in 1998 with First Class Honours, have always worked in Regional Queensland; my husband and I are currently raising 16 year twins. In my spare time, I enjoy growing vegetables and tropical orchids, and find that practising Martial Arts to keep fit and keep energised.
We're registered with all major Australian health funds for your optical rebates, which includes contact lenses, prescription glasses, and prescription sunglasses, and also provide bulk-billing services for all eligible patients.
Everyone’s eyes are different, but you should have an eye test at least every two years, or more frequently if recommended by your optometrist.

It helps to come in more regularly, so we can ensure you’ve got the right lenses and make sure we detect any eye disease early.
When you book an eye test with us, we don’t just get you to read letters. You get a full eye health check-up. Your consultation will take around 30 minutes, depending on your vision requirements. It’s a bit longer than your standard eye test, but we’re making sure we test for everything, so you are getting more than just a simple Snellen test.
Bulk billable for eligible Medicare card holders and services.
What happens next depends on your results. You might find that you’ve got 20/20 vision, in which case we can schedule you in for another checkup at some point in the future.
If our practice or optometrist find you’re long-sighted or short-sighted, or something else, we’ll sort you out with a prescription for glasses and lenses, or contact lenses, tailored to what your eyes need.
If your test results indicate something that needs further assessment we offer specialist referrals.
This one’s mostly up to you, but what really determines whether you need glasses or contacts will be the results of your eye test, and your circumstances.
